INDICATION OF NAPROXEN
- Fever
It has antipyretic property, which helps in reduce high body temperature - Cervical spondylitis
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis

- Musculoskeletal disorder
- Menstrual pain – dysmenorrhea
- Tooth extraction
CONTRAINDICATION
It means Naproxen medicine should be avoid to below conditions
- Recurrent peptic ulcer
- Active peptic ulcer
- Hypersensitivity to this molecule
- Gastro intestinal bleeding
DOSAGE OF NAPROXEN
Adult
250mg tablet three time in a day
500mg tablet two time in a day
Children (>2 year)
18mg/kg/day in two divided doses
Effect starts within 1 hour after taking naproxen medicine & effect last for upto 12 hours.
SIDE-EFFECT
Each & every molecule which have effect also have side-effect. But, it not occurs to everyone. It occurs to only who have sensitivity to particular molecule.
If adverse effect occurs, that may be one of below
- Nausea, vomiting
- Headache
- Rashes over body, itching
- Ringing in the ear
- Swollen feet, ankles
- Wheezing or breathlessness

- Use cautiously in liver & kidney problem
- Hypertension, heart problem
- Oesophagitis, peptic ulcer, bleeding disorder
- Asthma
- Not to give at the time of delivery, it may cause adverse effect on baby’s heart
