INDICATION OF ETHAMSYLATE
Ethamsylate medicine is useful in below conditions
- Haematemesis – blood in vomiting
- Haemoptysis – blood in cough
- Haematuria – blood in urine
- Epistaxis – blood from nose
- DUB – dysfunction uterine bleeding
- Primary menorrhagia
- Postabortion or postpartum haemorrhage
- Pre or post surgical haemorrhagic disorder
- Premature infant
- Prophylactically, all pre or post surgical procedure
CONTRAINDICATION
DOSAGE OF ETHAMSYLATE
Adult
500mg three time in a day
Children
250mg three time in a day
Peri-operative bleeding
250-500mg injection i/v or i/m at every 4-6 hours till bleeding stop
Effect of medicine last for more than 3 days after stopping the treatment
SIDE EFFECT
Each & every molecule which have effect also have side-effect. But, it not occurs to everyone. It occurs to only who have sensitivity to particular molecule.
